Huntly is situated in the North of the Waikato, 93km's south of Auckland on State Highway and 32 km's north of Hamilton, which is New Zealand's fifth largest city

Through the middle of the township runs the Waikato River. Huntly has a population of just over 8,000 and continue to grow as more people become aware of the benefits of living in a centrally located town which still has a strong community focus. The town is effectively in the middle of the 'Golden Triangle' which is projected to have an additional 530,000 people by 2022. That triangle has as its defining points, Auckland (south of the Harbour Bridge) Hamilton, and Tauranga. With such a mass increase in population anticipated property values within the triangle are likely to follow the normal supply and demand scenario making Huntly and the surrounding North Waikato a viable option to invest in. On our 'doorstep' is the massive Coal/Gas/Steam-fired Genesis Energy Power Station, along with Waikato's biggest source of coal, producing over 10,000 tonnes per day, from Solid Energy and some private mines.
